To begin her residency\, Monnet will give an online artist talk on January 28th\, 4:00–5:30PM. This event is free and open to the pub lic. You can learn more about ISCEI and the Artist in Residence program he re: /iscei/\n\nCaroline Monnet (Algonquin/French) is a multidisciplinary artist from Outaouais\, Quebec. She studied Sociology and Communication at the University of Ottawa (Canada) and the University of Granada (Spain) before pursuing a career in visual arts and films. Her work has been programmed internationally at the Palais de Tokyo (Paris)\, Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin)\, TIFF (CAN)\, Sundance (US)\, Aesthet ica (UK)\, Palm Springs (US)\, Cannes Film Festival\, Whitney Biennal (NY) \, Toronto Biennale of Art (CAN)\, Museum of Contemporary Art (MontrĂ©al)\, Arsenal Contemporary NY\, Walter Phillips Gallery (Banff)\, and the Natio nal Gallery of Canada (Ottawa). In 2016\, she was selected for the CinĂ©fon dation residency in Paris. Her work is included in numerous collections in cluding Quebec Museum of Fine Arts\, National Art Gallery\, RBC Royal Bank \, Museum of Contemporary Art MontrĂ©al. 2021's upcoming exhibitions includ e the Schirn Kunsthalle (Frankfurt)\, the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum Michigan State University\, The Koffler Gallery (Toronto) and a solo show at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art.\n\nMonnet is recipient of the 2020 Pie rre-Ayot award\, the 2020 Sobey Art Award\, the REVEAL Indigenous Art Awar ds\, as well as grants from Canada Council for the Arts\, Conseil des arts et des lettres du QuĂ©bec and from le Conseil des arts de MontrĂ©al.
