The Institute for the Study of International Development is pleased to welcome Eduardo Romero Dianderas to its full time academic staff.

Eduardo Romero Dianderas is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for the Study of International Development, ɬ�﷬. He holds a PhD in Sociocultural Anthropology from Columbia University (2022) and specializes in the study of media technologies, technical infrastructures, and global environmental governance in Latin America.

Last week, HBHL hosted the third talk of the 2024-2025 Neurogenesis Speaker Series at the Neuro, featuring Dana Small and Yashar Zeighami.

Dana Small’s presentation, "The Interoceptive Origins of Reward," explored how biological signals are integrated to determine food choice, while Yashar Zeighami’s talk, "Fine-Tuning Neuroimaging Analysis to Reveal Hidden Insights," highlighted his research into the development of multi-scale computational models of brain anatomy.

English PhD candidate, Iris Pintiuta, created Exposure, Montreal's first trans film festival. The festival aims to promote inclusive representation for trans people, as well as create programs and events that advance trans acceptance.
