Prof. Mukhopadhyay’s research centers on exploring the dynamic interactions and integration within environment–economy systems, using macroeconomic modelling approaches such as Input–Output analysis, Computable General Equilibrium models, and Economy–Energy–Environment frameworks. Her research within the BREE domain spans several key areas, including the Water–Energy–Food Nexus, the economics of water pollution and health, biodiversity conservation and environmental valuation, as well as Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services. As a key expert who contributed to shaping the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, her research has been closely aligned with the commitments and targets outlined across multiple SDGs.
