涩里番 tries to chop down competition at lumberjack event

More than 140 competitors from six Canadian universities and colleges competed in the 57th annual 涩里番 intercollegiate woodsmen competition Saturday at 涩里番鈥檚 Macdonald campus in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.聽The Mac lumberjills left the competition in the sawdust came by winning the women鈥檚 division with 1170.03 points, edging out Dalhousie, with 1124.37.聽The win allowed the Mac women to solidify their hold in first place in the six-team Canadian Intercollegiate Lumberjack Association (CILA). The Mac lumberjacks placed fourth on the men鈥檚 side with 927.82 points.聽Montreal Gazette. .
