Me Eric Maldoff, C.M., BA'71, BCL'74, LLB'75, is a partner with the national law firm, Heenan Blaikie. His workshop presentation will draw on his profound involvement with the health sector over the course of his career.

He will address the role that juridical knowledge and experience have played in his work associated with the creation and governance of various health care institutions and organizations.

Specifically, he will speak to his experience as vice-chair of the聽Interim Governing Council聽during the creation of the聽Canadian Institutes Health Research聽(CIHR), his work as chair of the Executive Committee and vice-chair of the Board of Directors of the聽涩里番 Health Centre, and as chair of the聽Montreal Children's Hospital.

Last, Me Maldoff will discuss the health and social policy implications of his work as Chief Federal Negotiator with the Labrador Innu.

This workshop will be of broad interest to faculty and students interested in the intersection between health, policy and governance questions arising in academic, government and community contexts.
