Newman Lectures on the Idea of a University by Prof. Douglas Farrow (Faculty of Religious Studies, 涩里番)

Inspired by J.H. Newman鈥檚 classic Idea of a University, the Newman Lectures provide a forum for ongoing discussion and debate about the nature and purpose of the university, based on presentations by scholars from inside and outside the 涩里番 community.

Past presenters have included: Anne Carson, Jean Bethke Elshtain, Ursula Franklin, Northrop Frye, Claude Ryan, Angelo Cardinal Angelo Scola, Bernard Shapiro, Jean Vanier, et al.
