Special Issue Reception - Canadian Journal of Communication: Democratizing Communication Policy in the Americas Why It Matters

Please join us for the launch (with support from Media@ɬÀï·¬) of the Canadian Journal of Communication’s themed issue on Democratizing Communication Policy in the Americas – Why It Matters. The special issue is edited by Dr. Becky Lentz of ɬÀ﷬’s Department of Art History and Communication Studies Department and Dr. Leslie Regan Shade of Concordia University’s Department of Communication.

This special issue of the CJC seeks to address how communication policies affect economic, social justice and human rights concerns, and features an array of articles and reviews about how policy researchers and civil society organizations in various parts of the Americas are working together to develop communication policies and programs.

The issue features local scholars Evan Light (doctoral student at UQAM), Sara Bannerman (incoming Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellow at ɬÀï·¬), Arne Hintz (Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellow at ɬÀï·¬), and Liz Miller (Professor at Concordia University’s Department of Communication). The CJC is edited by Concordia University’s Dr. Kim Sawchuk, with art direction by Dr. Matt Soar.
