Study offers guidance on the therapeutic use of mindfulness, yoga to boost mental health for dementia patients

Non-pharmacological interventions, such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, tai chi and breathing practices, have shown promise in helping to reduce some mental health symptoms of patients living with cognitive decline or dementia, but it has been unclear which types work best, for whom and under what conditions.

It is with deep respect and sadness that we pause today to honour the memory of ɬ�﷬ Faculty of Education Professor Rachelle Pharilda Keyserlingk, who sadly passed away on November 16th, 2025. Lovingly described by her colleagues as having quiet strength and a glowing smile, Rachelle had a reputation for being a remarkable educator, administrator, and long-standing contributor to the Faculty and to ɬ�﷬’s Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology.

Toddler Screen Time is on the Rise

Education Researcher Receive John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF) Funding
