 . Howard Trottier from Simon Fraser University.  In 2014\, Howard Trottier
  received the Qilak Award for Astronomy Communications\, Public Education 
 and Outreach\, from the Canadian Astronomical Society. His public lecture 
 is entitled: 'The Passion and Science of Amateur Astronomy: A Scientist's 
 Diary'. The lecture will be followed by night sky observations (weather pe
 rmitting). This event is intended for a general audience\, and it is free 
 of charge. No reservation is necessary. Snacks and refreshments will be se
 rved (please bring your own cup).\nThe event will be held at the Timmins A
