 U's\npolicies and enacts change on behalf of the entire undergraduate\nstu
 dent population. Council (also known as “Students’ Council” or\n“Legislati
 ve Council”) constitutes the highest decision-making body\nand the legisla
 tive arm of the Students’ Society of ɬ�﷬\nUniversity governance structu
 re – the board of directors. According\nto Article 3 of the SSMU Constitut
 ion\, Council is the governing\nbody of the Society and “shall be empowere
 d to make all decisions\nand take all actions on behalf of the Society…”.
 \nCouncil is where you can ask what your executives have been\nworking on\
 , hear reports on what clubs are getting funding and\nwhich new clubs are 
 being approved\, and see debate on motions that\nset SSMU policy. Visitors
  can also speak and give their opinion on\nwhat SSMU should do. It is a gr
 eat way to get involved with SSMU\npolitics and understand your student so
 ciety better.\n
