Mr. Abdelrazik still fa ces a number of challenges. He\nremains on a UN Security Council Resolutio n 1267 list that imposes\non him an asset freeze and a travel ban. Mr. Abd elrazik has filed a\ncivil lawsuit against the Canadian government and the Minister of\nForeign Affairs claiming damages in the amount of $27\nmilli on.\n\nIn this lecture\, Mr. Hameed will detail Mr. Abdelrazik's ordeal\, \ncomment on the challenges that remain and address some of the\nbroader c oncerns in Canada's anti-terrorism policy.\n\nThis is the introductory lec ture to the Symposium on\nCounter-Terrorism and Civil Liberties which will take place at\nɬÀï·¬ in February.
