DESCRIPTION:The Magnetoencephalography (MEG) 2-day  Training Workshop\nis a
 n initiative of the Canada MEG Consortium (CMC) to promote and\ndisseminat
 e magnetoencephalography as a brain imaging technique in\nCanada and beyon
 d.\nThe CMC regroups the 6 Canadian MEG centres as a joint academic\nnetwo
 rk and MEG task force for access\, education\, shared expertise\nand instr
 ument and software resources about MEG\, for neuroscience\nand neuroimagin
 g investigators.\nThe CMC training will be immediately followed on Novembe
 r 19 by\na Brainstorm hands-on training course \, where attendees will be
 \nable to extensively go through multiple practical aspects of MEG\nsignal
  analysis and source imaging\, using Brainstorm.\n\nThis first training wo
 rkshop has the following objectives:\n\nTo educate investigators who are n
 ew to brain imaging\, and to MEG\nin particular about the possibilities of
 fered by MEG as a brain\nfunctional imaging technique\;\nTo expose the con
 ceptual foundations of MEG signal analysis and\nimaging\;\nTo clarify the 
 typical workflow for MEG data analysis\nTo provide a first\, elementary ha
 nds-on experience with data\nacquisition and analysis\nTo incite investiga
 tors to consider MEG as the modality of choice\nfor their research project
