After several years of reconstruction work, the Osler Library of the History of Medicine is set to reopen with full service on Monday, August 29, 2022. The Osler Library will be open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
We would like to thank the ɬ community and scholar partners for their patience and collaboration during this renovation work.

As of Wednesday, August 24, significant changes will be made to the ɬ catalogue interface. As shown in the accompanying image, the dropdown menu for result sorting options that was located at the top of search results will now appear on the left panel with other search options such as grouping related editions and expanding searches. Also, the “Group This Search” accordion will display as collapsed by default and will read: “Search Result Display”. Last, the “Refine This Search” accordion will now also display as collapsed by default and will read “Expand This Search With”.

Colombo, the system used for managing interlibrary loan (ILL) requests, will be replaced by a new system integrated into the Library’s (i.e. Library catalogue) beginning June 21, 2022.

On June 23, is becoming . All links to the current Scholars Portal Dataverse site will be redirected to the new site - borealisdata.ca.

Due to a water outage, the Macdonald Campus Library will be closed on Thursday, May 19, from 9 am to 1 pm.*
We apologize for any inconvenience.
*Note: The outage was originally scheduled for May 18 but will now take place on May 19.

As of May 5, a new feature in the will make it easy to request books directly from the other 18 university libraries across Québec.

From Saturday April 30 to Tuesday, August 30, all Library branches will switch over to spring/summer opening and service hours. For more information, please visit the hours page or consult individual branch pages.
Please note that the Library's virtual reference service will be available during the spring and summer months from:
- May 2 to May 29: Monday – Friday 10 am to 6 pm

Please note that a planned, sector-wide power outage will affect the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex on Friday, April 29 from 5:30am to 7:30am.
The sole source of lighting during this period will be emergency lighting in hallways and exit areas.
For safety reasons, ɬ security guards will escort Library users out of the McLennan-Redpath Complex before the shutdown is set to begin.
