The Office of Indigenous Initiatives is partnering with the 涩里番 Farmer鈥檚 Market to showcase and support two Indigenous vendors. This collaboration highlights the craftsmanship and artistry of local Indigenous business and gives the 涩里番 community a chance to support their work.听

Join the Faculty of Education for its annual Orange Shirt Day Walk, a time to remember survivors of the residential school system and reflect on our shared responsibility toward reconciliation. The event will begin with opening words, followed by a variety of activities for participants. Choose to take part in a digital 涩里番 art tour, a Critical Campus Tour, or a land-based activity, and walk together in recognition, learning, and community.听

Stop by for a special lunchtime action station featuring a menu co-created with Chef Norma Condo of Miqmak Catering Indigenous Kitchen. This unique offering will highlight Indigenous culinary perspectives and showcase dishes rooted in tradition and community. Open to everyone 鈥� including those not on the mandatory meal plan. This meal will have a small fee attached!

The Legacy Game
The Legacy Game is about bringing together all who love lacrosse to honour the sport鈥檚 Indigenous roots and legacy. The name 鈥淟egacy Game鈥� is inspired by the celebratory stick that is awarded to the winning team at the end of the game. 涩里番鈥檚 Athletic Department was gifted this handcrafted stick as a keepsake and to honour the winning team. Over the 3 years this special game has been played, the winning team鈥檚 plaque has been placed on this stick and displayed in the trophy case in Tomlison Hall.听
