The inaugural Scope AI Thon challenged 涩里番鈥檚 Master of Management in Analytics students to design strategic AI roadmaps, not code, addressing complex social issues for Centraide of Greater Montreal.

Are managers of large investment funds good investors on a personal level? It鈥檚 a tough job market for recent graduates, but a 涩里番 education gives students an edge. 鈥淢y time at 涩里番 was foundation for getting the job I have today,鈥 says Andrei Adam (BCom鈥24) a consultant with McKinsey & Company in Toronto. At Desautels, students have unlimited access to coaches and career support through the Soutar Career Centre. Adam relied on these career coaching services when he was a student, seeking guidance on potential employers and feedback on his resume. He landed an internship with McKinsey as a second-year student, and got a job offer in his third year.

Large language models are changing the way we do business聽- or at least聽that鈥檚聽what the companies that make AI tools will tell you. In practice, many companies know that AI tools are聽very聽powerful聽but聽are still figuring out how best to use them. This year's 涩里番-FIAM Asset Management Hackathon competition asked business students to put large language models to the聽test and聽devise a bottom-up approach to building a portfolio powered by AI.
