Yet, in some cases, employers may view a history of frequent job changes unfavorably,听according to research by Matissa Hollister, an Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour. 鈥淲e really wanted to look at whether or not that advice might actually backfire,鈥� Hollister says.

鈥淚nnovation鈥� is everywhere these days鈥攂ut beyond the buzzword, what does it really mean for a young company, and how can you turn it into a concrete competitive advantage? This presentation demystifies intellectual property (IP) and shows why it matters far more than many founders think.

We鈥檒l explore briefly the different forms of IP and clarify what each protects in practical terms. You鈥檒l discover when an idea becomes an 鈥渋nvention,鈥� when you should consider filing a patent, and who the right professionals are to guide you along the way.

Researchers at 涩里番 have improved the efficiency of a method for converting human urine into clean energy.

The method employs microbial fuel cells (MFCs), which use bacteria to turn organic waste into electricity, providing a sustainable and low-cost means of treating wastewater while generating energy from an abundant source. The 涩里番 research provides insights into which urine concentrations are optimal for this process.

Prime Minister Mark Carney recently announced the Canada Grocery and Essentials Benefit, a direct payment for low-income Canadians that will replace the GST credit. While it should improve the purchasing power of those who need it most, it won鈥檛 lower grocery prices. 鈥淭o lower the grocery bills, we need to improve our food supply chains in Canada,鈥� says Yu Ma, a Professor of Marketing at 涩里番 Desautels.
