To accoun t for such network effects\, we introduce a new diffusion equation in a dy namic model of the firm with the aim to obtain the advertising policy that maximizes firm profits. Also an advertising budget is introduced and we e xamine its effects.\n\n We find that introduction of the network effect lea ds to a critical mass of the sales level\, the introduction of an advertis ing budget to the existence of an abnormal threshold equilibrium. We ident ify parameter ranges for which indifference points occur.\n \n\n DTSTART:20220324T150000Z DTEND:20220324T160000Z LOCATION:CA\, ZOOM SUMMARY:The Digital Economy and Advertising Diffusion Models: Critical Mass and the Stalling Equilibrium URL:/cim/channels/event/digital-economy-and-advertisin g-diffusion-models-critical-mass-and-stalling-equilibrium-338534 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
