DESCRIPTION:The birth of a child with a neurodevelopmental disability (NDD)
   (i.e. autism\, cerebral palsy\, or intellectual disability) may bring ab
 out life altering experiences for mothers and fathers.  Research addressin
 g the experiences of parents of children with NDD has markedly increased i
 n the past few years\, yet\, understandings of the unique experiences of f
 athers remain limited in comparison.   In this presentation\, findings fro
 m two related studies will reveal (1) what research on parenting children 
 with NDD can tell us about fathers’ parenting experiences and (2) and fath
 ers’ narratives about connecting with their child with an NDD.  Implicatio
