 ontext of child sexual abuse disclosures. Interviews were conducted with y
 oung people aged 14 to 25 from Ireland\, Toronto\, Montreal and Ottawa\, a
 bout their experiences of disclosing sexual abuse in childhood. The data w
 ere examined using the lens of Brene Brown's psychosocial model of shame r
 esilience\, focusing on the four key dynamics of vulnerability\, critical 
 awareness\, reaching out and speaking shame. The presentation in particula
 r examines the role of self-blame in the dynamic of shame for those who ex
