DESCRIPTION:An extraordinary number of adolescents in group care contexts h
 ave experienced high levels of trauma exposures and related externalizing 
 and internalizing symptoms that can be challenging to manage. Yet\, little
  research attention has been paid to how the personal and professional exp
 eriences of group care workers shape their attitudes about providing traum
 a-informed care (TIC) to these adolescents. Thus\, this essential first st
 ep is often overlooked in practice\, even as implementation of TIC models 
 within child-serving organizations is rapidly growing. The objective of th
 is exploratory pilot survey study was to capture the personal and professi
 onal experiences and perspectives of group home workers from across three 
 provinces\, with a view to informing organizations about their training an
 d support needs\, to better meet the needs of traumatized adolescents.\n\n
