Facebook debates these questions fierc ely and freely inside the company every day\, and with experts from around the world whom they consult for guidance. Hard Questions is an effort by Facebook to open dialogue on these difficult questions. The Facebook Canad a Hard Questions Roundtable Series takes these difficult conversations off line to consult with Canadian experts and stakeholders who face these issu es on the ground. \n \n The Hard Questions Roundtable on Women's Safety Onli ne will be a two-part event: \n \n 1. CO-HOST FIRESIDE CHAT \n The event will kick off with a fireside chat broadcast on Facebook Live. Maya Roy\, CEO of YWCA Canada will introduce the issues and Canadian landscape with regar ds to Women's Safety Online. Antigone Davis\, Head of Global Safety at Fac ebook will discuss new tools on the platform intended to make the online p latform a safer space for women. The fireside chat will be a public event\ , broadcast on Facebook Live. \n \n 2. ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION \n The roundtabl e will be a moderated discussion\, closed to the participants invited to p articipate. We are keen to learn about the most pressing issues being face d by advocates and experts on cyber-violence and women's safety online in Canada. We will also seek feedback on new tools that Facebook has recently launched and/or that are in development.
