Valedictorian Helena Silen, part of the inaugural cohort of the B.A. (Ed.) Education in a Global Contexts program, will be representing the Faculty of Education’s Class of 2025 at Convocation on May 29th at 3:00 PM.

DISE PhD Student Azam Dashti Khavidaki Awarded Funding through Digital Research Alliance of Canada

Azam Dashti Khavidaki, a Ph.D. student in Educational Studies at ɬ�﷬’s Department of Integrated Studies in Education and a Fellow at the Participatory Cultures Lab (PCL), has been awarded the prestigious DRI EDIA funding from the Digital Research Alliance of Canada.

This recognition underscores her unwavering commitment to strengthening digital research infrastructure and expanding access to 21st-century skills for marginalized children and youth, advancing the pursuit of digital equality.

UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development in India (MGIEP) recently hosted Faculty of Education Dean, Vivek Venkatesh, and Professor Joseph Levitan, DISE, for a dialogue on community based participatory action research, and pluralism and polarization.

Their visit was part of a research tour including a dialogue on these topics to foster collaboration and to exchange ideas on education and societal challenges.
