She has r eceived many prizes in recognition of her work including the Adrien Pinard Prize of the Quebec Psychology Research Society\, Professional Prize of t he Quebec Psychologist Association\, ACFAS Léo-Pariseau prize\, honoris ca usa doctorate from Mons University and is a member of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. \n\nSylvie Belleville is known for her work on cognit ive training in the elderly and the prevention of cognitive decline and de mentia. She has identified compensatory processes and brain plasticity in aging.
