Samira Rahimi recognized as 2026 100 Women in AI honoree

Annual global campaign celebrating women in the development of AI

Assistant Professor Samira Rahimi was selected as a . 100 Women in AI is an annual global campaign and recognition platform created to celebrate women leading the development of artificial intelligence across research, product leadership, investment, and infrastructure.聽

Rahimi is a Canada Research Chair in AI and Advanced Digital Primary Health Care, Co-Director of 涩里番鈥檚 Collaborative for AI and Society (McCAIS), and聽Research Co-Director of the General Practice Residency program at the Jewish General Hospital site. Her research focuses on AI in primary health care and ethical and responsible AI and AI-driven tools to support vulnerable populations, including seniors.聽

She joined the honourees at the announcement celebration in New York City on June 4 during New York Tech Week. "I am honored to be recognized alongside remarkable women from around the world who are pushing the boundaries of innovation and shaping the future of AI. I hope this recognition encourages more women and girls to see themselves as future leaders, innovators, and changemakers in AI, and highlights the important contributions women are making to shaping the future of the field and to society" says Rahimi.聽
