Running out of cash he joined the Canadian Forces and the United Nations from 1987 until 1994 – serving as a peacekeeper in Cyprus during 1993. Surgery beckoned and he came to T oronto for his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Universi ty of Toronto. After residency he was a Surgical Education Fellow in the d ivision of Surgery. He subsequently was the Walter Lorenz Fellow in Orthog nathic Surgery in the Division of OMFS at the Toronto General Hospital. Wi th Eddie Reinish he founded Crescent Oral Surgery which is one of the larg est state-of-the –art surgical centers in Canada.\n\nMarco currently is an :\n\n\n Assistant Professor\, Head and Program Director of Oral and Maxillo facial Surgery and the Director of the Centre for Corrective Jaw Surgery\; \n Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Humber River Hospital\;\n Graduate Program Director at Mount Sinai Hospital\; and\,\n Director of the Cleft L ip Palate Program at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.\n\n\n Dr. Caminiti’s practice and research is focused on virtual planning for th e management of patients with facial deformities. He is an avid skier\, sa ilor\, cook\, and wine drinker and runs with his chocolate lab Charlie. He is the proud husband of his classmate and orthodontic wife Dr Catia Giamb attistini and his three fantastic kids one of which is studying engineerin g at ɬÀï·¬ who tells him the beer is stilled watered-down at Gerts!\n\n\n \n\nDr. Lesley David (DDS '93)\n\nTop 5 Things They Didn't Teach You in De ntal School\n\nDr. David is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon practicing i n Toronto. She is on staff at the Mt. Sinai Hospital and the Trillium Hosp ital. Dr. David is an Instructor at the University of Toronto in the Oral Surgery Clinic and has also been involved in both teaching and research in implant dentistry in the graduate Implant Prosthodontic Unit.Dr. David is a Fellow and past Examiner of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Sh e lectures nationally and internationally on multiple topics in implant de ntistry and oral surgery and has various publications in implant dentistry .\n\nThis seminar will review various clinical situations which practition ers and patients encounter in implant practice. Various implant topics wil l be discussed to review appropriate management of patients and minimize n egative outcomes.
