Biography: 

Dr. Dayan is an Associate Professor of Medicine at ɬÀï·¬ and an attending physician at the MUHC, where she works as a General Internal Medicine and Obstetric Medicine specialist. She founded and directs the postpartum maternal cardiovascular health clinic for women who have had hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

Dr. Dayan’s women's health research program focuses on peri pregnancy health and the link between reproductive factors and long-term cardiovascular and other chronic diseases. She is the former Quebec recipient of the Early Career Professorship in Women's Heart and Brain Health (Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada/Quebec and ɬÀï·¬) for her work on breastfeeding and postpartum blood pressure in women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Dr. Dayan currently leads a nationwide initiative focused on improving the representation of pregnant and lactating women in clinical trials (). She supervises graduate and postgraduate trainees in Epidemiology, Public Health, Experimental Medicine and Medicine. Her research program is supported by operating funding from the Canadian Institute of Health Research and career funding from the Fondation de Recherche Québec - Santé.
