 Katya works closely with faculty members and students in advancing their t
 echnologically-based ideas and research\, in the promotion of technologies
  and expertise of the Faculty to potential partners\, and facilitates inte
 raction between the various stakeholders in the projects to achieve succes
 sful collaborations and transfer of outstanding research from the labs to 
 the marketplace. She co-founded the ɬÀï·¬ Engine and its programs. She ha
 s been working at ɬÀï·¬ for over 25 years\, across multiple faculties but
  servicing mainly the Faculty of Engineering for their research/service co
 ntract and intellectual property commercialization needs\, and for helping
  build the entrepreneurial mindset and skills of its members.\n\nChristina
  Maria Katsari\, PhD. Mitacs Representative at ɬÀï·¬\n\nMitacs
  is a national\, not-for-profit organization that has designed and deliver
 ed research and training programs in Canada for more than 20 years. Workin
 g with over 100 academic institutions\, 6\,000 companies/ NGOs\, hospitals
 \, municipalities and both federal and provincial governments\, they build
  partnerships that support industrial and social innovation in Canada. Chr
 istina along with her colleagues are the official contacts for ɬÀï·¬ stud
 ents and faculty who are interested in Mitacs funding programs. All comple
 ted applications are submitted to them\, reviewed and then forwarded to th
 e Office of Innovation + Partnerships for final institutional signature an
 d approval. Once the applications are approved\, they are officially submi
 tted to Mitacs where they will undergo an external peer review process.\n
