The program is offered biannually (spring and fall) and includes grants t hat can go up to $15\,000 within 6-month program period per invention/tech nology\, along with personalized business mentorship. For 2026\, the budge t will allow for up to 10 projects per round to be selected. Funding of th e TechAccelR proposals is at the sole discretion of the ɬÀï·¬ Engine team . We will look at the comparative merit of the application pool and the pr oject criteria.\n\nThe TechAccelR grants are short-term for projects that can be completed within up to 6 months maximum\, and that are needed to ad vance or enhance an invention/technology in order to improve the scope and value of ɬÀ﷬’s IP and enable researchers to obtain further funding for commercialization. The TechAccelR grants are not intended to supplement e xisting funded projects. The TechAccelR project proposals are co-written w ith the PI's technology transfer manager\, please consult with them at lea st 2 weeks in advance of the proposal deadline. Some examples of the short -term scope of work goals: improved claims in future patent applications\, new uses/applications of existing technologies\, gathering additional dat a to further demonstrate proof of concept (e.g. increased robustness/relia bility of AI/ML models)\, obtaining data to compare/benchmark the technolo gy to existing technologies to show its competitive advantages.\n\nIn addi tion to funding\, teams are matched with a Ronald Chwang Entrepreneur-in-R esidence to help advance their technology commercialization plan and provi de industry connections.\n\nProgram Objectives\n\n\n Validate early stage t echnologies\n Advance the invention's Technology Readiness Level from TRL 3 to higher\n Accelerate the technology’s commercialization and development plan - achieve problem-solution fit faster\n Further develop the research t o strengthen eligibility for additional funding\n Research team works close ly with the assigned business mentor\, gaining from their experience\, kno wledge\, and industry connections\n\n DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20260329 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20260329 SUMMARY:Application Deadline: TechAccelR Program URL:/engine/channels/event/application-deadline-techac celr-program-366079 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
