Charlotte Esme FRANK

contemporary female life writing; experimental narration; ekphrasis and other forms of intermediality
Charlotte Esme Frank is writing her dissertation on experimental narration in female and gender queer life writing, under the supervision of Miranda Hickman. She is interested in situating contemporary writers, such as Natasha Brown, Rachel Cusk, and Olivia Laing within a broader genealogy of authors and artists in order to understand their experimental narrative techniques, and the ways they use ekphrasis and other forms of intermediality. Charlotte holds a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in the humanities from Carleton University, and a Master鈥檚 degree in English and creative writing from Concordia University.
