Biography: 

Elio Abi Younes is a Faculty Lecturer in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at ɬÀï·¬, where he also serves as Program Director for the Graduate Certificate in Health Data Analytics. He completed his PhD in Mathematics and Statistics at ɬÀï·¬, and previously earned an MSc in Mathematics and Statistics from ɬÀï·¬ and a BS in Statistics from the American University of Beirut. His research focuses on simulation-based Bayesian inference using deep learning methods, with applications to hierarchical models and time-series analysis. He is also developing a growing interest in applying deep learning to athletic performance, health, and longevity. He is a recipient of the ISM Scholarship for Outstanding PhD Candidates and the Schulich Fellowship.
