DESCRIPTION:\n	The Human Genome Project unlocked unprecedented opportunities
  for discovering underlying etiologies of human disease\, including those 
 that present early in life. In this talk\, Vasiliki Rahimzadeh will discus
 s the dual role of collaboration and harmonization in data governance as t
 wo avenues by which precision medicine can be realized among i) genomic da
 ta producers\, ii) users and iii) regulators. She uses pediatric rare dise
 ase as a case example for exploring how ethical-legal bases of data privac
 y and security map onto\, and evolve in line with new genomic possibilitie
 s informing the clinical applications thereof. She will conclude with thou
 ghts on how through proportionate policy development can ensure genomics r
 emains equity-enhancing and forward-looking as it tackles questions releva
 nt for primary care delivery.\n	\n	Vasiliki (Vaso) Rahimzadeh is a doctoral 
 candidate with research interests at the intersection of bioethics\, data 
 governance and bioscience policy. Her dissertation centred on genomic data
  sharing involving children and earned her a Vanier Canada Graduate Schola
