A former national correspondent for the New England Journal of Medicine\, she now writes news features on biomedical science and bioe thics for the Lancet\, the Canadian Medical Association Journal and other outlets. Her 2005 book\, The Drug Trial\, won awards from the Writers’ Tru st of Canada and the Canadian Science Writers Association.
