Room 307.\n\nRegister here\n \nAbout The Moderators\n\nLynda Bulimo joined the Equity team in 2022 as a n Equity Education Advisor (Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression Education). He r work primarily focuses on developing and leading education-based initiat ives for staff and faculty towards anti-racism and anti-oppression. Lynda has worked in a range of educational contexts\, including higher education \, as a teacher and curriculum developer. She holds a B.Ed. and Certificat e in Global Citizenship from the University of Alberta\, and an M.A. in Ed ucation and Society from ɬÀï·¬\, where she completed a thesis entitled: I nvestigating the Relationships among Anti-Blackness\, Racism and Mental He alth for Black Instructors in an Alberta College. \n\nShannon Wood (they/t hem/iel) is one of two equity education advisors on the Equity Team. Their portfolio is building equity education initiatives focused on gender\, 2S &LGBTQIA+\, and intersectional equity. Shannon’s prior positions at ɬÀï·¬ include managing the It Takes All of Us sexual violence education program under both Teaching and Learning Services and the Office for Sexual Viole nce Response\, Support and Education. They hold a BA Communication from Si mon Fraser University and a GradDip Human Resources Management from ɬÀï·¬ University. Shannon is passionate about employee wellbeing and helping fo ster more inclusive\, safer work environments.\n\nThe EDI Committee \n\nTh e Equity\, Diversity\, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee\, housed under the De partment’s Graduate Programs\, is dedicated to fostering a culture of resp ect\, belonging and inclusive excellence across all areas of departmental life. Comprising faculty\, staff and learners\, the committee works collab oratively to identify barriers\, promote equity-focused initiatives and su pport underrepresented voices within our academic\, clinical and research communities.
