  you can wake up in Tokyo and go to bed in San Francisco. During this time
 \, we’ve seen a tremendous advancement in technology and quality of life\,
  however all is not rainbows and sunshine. With metropoles being built and
  developed all over the globe\, health risks can be attributed to an insur
 gence in the capability of spread of infectious diseases and a continuous 
 increase in air pollution. How have the historical and modern development 
 of cities shaped our health? How has our healthcare system responded to pr
 otect us from these changes? And finally\, how can we develop clean and su
 stainable practices to reduce the incidence of diseases within the context
