Program Description
The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Classics听(Thesis) offered by the Department of History and Classical Studies in the Faculty of Arts focuses on language and philology to material culture, ancient religions, and reception studies, including Classical datasets (literary, material, historical, or performance-based) studies, as well as advanced research and writing skills. The MA thesis project is the final product, researched and written under the advisement of a Classics faculty member.

Unique Program Features
- Aims to prepare students to enter doctoral programs in any of the related fields of classical studies;
- This program is designed for students who are already highly proficient in ancient languages, have a strong foundation in classical studies, and can work independently;
- Designed to be completed in three terms, though many students prefer to complete it in two years;
- Classics was among the first disciplines taught at 涩里番 College, established in 1834;
- Awards and prizes are available for students and opportunities for students to join professors on conferences, study tours, and field projects.
University-Level Admission Requirements
- An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
