There was a negotiating session on April鈥�13, 2026, during which discussions continued in a productive and collaborative manner, with steady progress made on several items. The next meeting is scheduled for May鈥�4, with additional negotiation dates confirmed for May鈥�22 and June鈥�5.
Association of 涩里番 Professors of Science
Following a petition filed on February 27, 2026, by the Association of 涩里番 Professors of Science to certify the bargaining unit comprising 鈥渁ll academic staff working in the Faculty of Science of 涩里番, except academic staff already covered by a collective agreement,鈥� the Tribunal administratif du Travail, Quebec鈥檚 body responsible for overseeing unionization, issued a decision on April 8, 2026, confirming that these positions are unionized and represented by the Associa
Negotiations with AMUSE (casuals)
The parties met on March 27 to discuss the non鈥憁onetary proposals.
They will meet again on March 31 to continue the discussions.
Negotiations with MUNACA
Following the request for conciliation, the parties held their first conciliation meeting on March 26. Each side met separately with the conciliator to provide an update on the progress of discussions. Based on the conciliator鈥檚 recommendation, the employer will present a comprehensive response to the union鈥檚 monetary and non鈥憁onetary proposals on April 22, 2026.
The objective is to narrow the outstanding non鈥憁onetary issues and focus on the key priorities for both parties.
Negotiations with AGSEM (Academic Casuals)
AGSEM presented their monetary proposals on March 11, and the University provided responses on March 18 and 25. Additional bargaining sessions are scheduled for April and May.
AMPS Unionization Drive
On February 27, 2026, the Association of 涩里番 Professors of Science (AMPS) filed the attached petition for the certification of the non-unionized academic staff of the Faculty of Science.

The parties have begun the bargaining process on February 9 and have exchanged their initial proposals.
Discussions are underway, and additional meetings have been scheduled to continue negotiations over the coming weeks.
Negotiations with AGSEM (Academic Casuals) 鈥� February 25, 2026
Since March 2025, the parties have held multiple bargaining sessions to negotiate a first collective agreement. Negotiations are progressing at a regular pace, with both sides engaged and exchanging proposals diligently. To date, the focus has been on non鈥憁onetary topics, and the parties have reached agreement on the majority of the articles.
The union is expected to submit its monetary proposals at an upcoming meeting.
Negotiations with MUNACA 鈥� February 20, 2026
Since October 10, 2024, when discussions on the renewal of the collective agreement began, the parties have met thirty times and have maintained ongoing exchanges on a range of proposals.
Negotiations with AMUSE / PSAC
The union provided notice to bargain in January.
The parties are scheduled to meet on February 27 to exchange non-monetary proposals and will establish a meeting schedule for the coming months at that time.
Negotiations with the Downtown Trades Group 鈥� February 19, 2026
Negotiations with this group began on February 4.
The parties conducted an initial exchange regarding their respective normative proposals.
Additional meetings are scheduled over the coming weeks.
Negotiations with the Power Plant and Macdonald Campus Groups 鈥� February 19, 2026
The parties began the negotiation process on September 18, have held nearly ten meetings, and since December 1 have begun discussions on the monetary elements of the collective agreement.

Academic Casuals Unionization
Following the petition filed by AGSEM on April 30, 2024, to certify the group of employees occupying a position classified as 鈥樷�橝cademic Casuals鈥欌��, the Tribunal administratif du Travail, the Quebec government body that oversees unionization, handed down a decision on August 13, 2024, confirming that several Academic Casuals positions were now unionized and represented by AGSEM. The bargaining unit is defined as follows:
