enOut with the Old and in with the New: Norway's Proposed Space Law
/iasl/article/out-old-and-new-norways-proposed-space-la

In early July 2025, Norway published its eagerly awaited proposal for a new space law, which had recently been introduced in Stortinget (the Norwegian Parliament). With this latest proposal, Norway joins the three other Nordic countries that have adopted or are in the process of adopting new space legislation: Denmark in 2016, Finland in 2018, and Sweden, which is yet to pass a new law; however, it has published a proposal to update its space law in 2021.
Mon, 05 Jan 2026 23:17:27 +0000Judith S.
As delegates from 193 Member States, along with invited non-Contracting States and international organizations, prepare to convene in Montreal for the 42nd Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the doors of 999 Robert-Bourassa Boulevard remain closed to Kosovo and Taiwan. Their absence, arguably, not only weakens ICAO’s mission of safe and sustainable skies but also places political considerations above the industry’s paramount value of safety.
Mon, 22 Sep 2025 13:00:00 +0000Chao-Ting Cheng1444 at /iaslWith Due Diligence: a Guiding Principle in International Space Law?

I recently came across an article in Foreign Policy that paints an ominous picture of China's potential overseas spaceport in Djibouti. The piece presents this project as a legal nightmare. It is an entertaining read. But it is riddled with sweeping assumptions, speculative claims, and a healthy dollop of alarmism.
Fri, 15 Sep 2023 20:14:54 +0000Kiran Mohan Vazhapully1382 at /iasl
