 	Kate Crawford is a leading academic on the social\, cultural and political
  implications of artificial intelligence. For over a decade\, her work has
  focused on understanding large-scale data systems in the wider contexts o
 f politics\, history\, labor\, and the environment. She is inaugural Visit
 ing Chair for AI and Justice at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris\, an
 d a Senior Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research New York. In 2019\, 
 she and the artist Trevor Paglen produced the Training Humans exhibition a
 t Fondazione Prada’s Osservatorio\, on the images used to train AI systems
 . Her collaborative projects Anatomy of an AI System and Excavating AI hav
 e won international awards\, and her new book is Atlas of AI: On Power\, P
 olitics and the Planetary Costs of AI (Yale 2021).\n	\n	This event is part o
