Georges is a writer\, illustrator\, podcaster & professor from Portlan d\, OR.\n Nicole has been publishing autobiographical comics about her quee r vegan life for the past 25 years\, evolving from teen zinester to graphi c novelist.\n Her Lambda Award-winning graphic memoir\, Calling Dr. Laura\, was called “engrossing\, lovable\, smart and ultimately poignant” by Rach el Maddow\, and “disarming and haunting\, hip and sweet\, all at once” by Alison Bechdel.\n Allô\, dr Laura? was an Official Selection at the Angoulê me International Comics Festival.\n She has adapted Calling Dr. Laura into an Edward R. Murrow-award-winning podcast series\, called Relative Fiction \, with Oregon Public Broadcasting.\n Nicole’s latest book\, Fetch: How a B ad Dog Brought Me Home\, is the recipient of 2 Oregon Book Awards\, and a Lambda nomination for best Graphic Novel. It received starred reviews from Publisher’s Weekly and the Library Journal\, and was voted a 2018 “Great Graphic Novel for Teens” by The American Library Association. It is curren tly in development for television with Sid Gentle Productions.\n\nThis eve nt is part of the 4th Season of the Feminist and Accessible Publishing and Communications Technologies Speaker and Workshop Series\, organized by Dr .
