Drawing from his experience as a parent and member of Samson Cree Nation\, Grant will explore ideas and concepts on ho w to better support Indigenous families with Autistic children by incorpor ating Indigenous perspectives and knowledge into practice. Grant will also discuss the significance of Indigenous culture and connection in creating healthy environments\, as well as explore practical tips for integrating holistic models into Western approaches\, practices\, services\, and suppo rts.\n\nDr. Grant Bruno Biography \n\nDr. Bruno is nêhiyaw (Plains Cree)\, a registered member of Samson Cree Nation\, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta. With a backgro und rooted in nêhiyaw understandings of health\, Dr. Bruno’s work focuses on creating culturally responsive healthcare models that support Indigenou s children and youth\, particularly in the areas of neurodiversity and chi ld and youth health.
