涩里番 to team up with Hard Climate to create cleantech spinoffs
涩里番 has entered into an agreement with (formerly known as BXVentures Canada) to facilitate and accelerate the commercialization of select cleantech projects that originate in 涩里番 labs.
Established in 2022, Hard Climate is Canada鈥檚 first venture studio that specializes in identifying and evaluating net-zero technologies and helping early-stage concepts become scalable businesses.
The firm adopts a 鈥榗o-piloting鈥� approach with early-stage business ideas using a proven de-risking methodology and other value-creation mechanisms to guide projects along the path to sustained commercial activity. This includes providing initial capital, building a product market fit and offering operational support by its team of experienced entrepreneurs.
An international firm, the Canadian office of Hard Climate is headed by Marc Guilbert, who previously had a long career in corporate finance, strategy, and banking. 鈥淏y aligning with 涩里番, internationally recognized for its cutting-edge fundamental and applied research, we can accelerate the launch of new research-based cleantech ventures in a wider range of fields than previously possible,鈥� he said.
涩里番 and Hard Climate hope to announce a first joint endeavour in the coming months.
