ɬÀï·¬'s Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is becoming the new Student Experience Record (SER), which will be launched in Fall 2025 in the .ÌýThis change will enhance the way we recognize and document student learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. See more information about the SER here.

The deadline to submit CCR participation/attendance lists has passed. Activities that took place before July 1, 2025, were eligible for the CCR, but any participant lists received after August 1 will not be processed. Historical CCR data will be preserved and migrated to the SER for current students.

In honor of Canadian Islamic History Month, ɬÀï·¬'sÌýStudent Affairs Liaison for Muslim StudentsÌý(Office of the Dean of Students) in collaboration with theÌýCanadian Council of Muslim WomenÌýare inviting you for an event titled "an Introduction to the history of Arabic Calligraphy" andÌýpresented byÌýYaser Watad, Calligraphy artist, graphic designer and Damascus University alumnus.

Yaser will present the most popular types of Arabic calligraphy script, their origin, evolution, as well as usage. He will also unpack traditional tools used to create Arabic calligraphy and discuss the influence of modern technology on this ancestral art.

Arabic calligraphy is the art of handwriting Arabic script to create aesthetic, fluid designs, rooted in the Arabic alphabet and practiced for centuries to preserve texts like the Quran, convey religious and poetic meaning, and decorate objects and murals.

Join us for a refreshing approach to exploring the roots of Calligraphy as a revered Islamic art and delving into cherished cultural and spiritual values embedded in Arabic calligraphy as well as the influence of modern technology on this art.
