 ies you will develop here are also transferable to pitching articles to po
 pular publications and to evaluating other scholarship as part of your res
 earch.We will cover the following topics:Key elements of a book reviewPitc
 hing a journal in your fieldTimeline for completing the reviewBefore the w
 orkshop\, please identify at least one journal in your field that publishe
 s book reviews and any submission guidelines they may have posted.Optional
 : Identify one to four ideas for texts that you might want to review. The 
 books should have been published by an academic press within the past five
  years\, but you need not have read them! This workshop is led by Dr. Aman
 da Perry\, who holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from New York Univers
 ity. She has taught literature at NYU and Concordia\, and she has multiple
  academic publications in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. The w
