 rts the team in the development of their technology in order to bring it c
 loser to the marketplace and allow the fellow to gain further knowledge an
 d experience in business and technology commercialization. Up to $60\,000 
 is awarded as a grant to the Principal Investigator in order to fund the e
 ligible ɬÀï·¬ PhD student or postdoctoral researcher to carry out the pro
 ject full-time within 1 year maximum. The call for projects is made twice 
 per year\, in the fall and in the spring. This current program is made pos
 sible thanks to the Chwang Seto family\, in honour of the late Ronald Chwa
 ng (B.Eng.'72\, D. Sc.'12)\, a pioneering entrepreneur and venture capital
 ist who served on the Faculty of Engineering Advancement Board. Previous d
 onors included Pasquale DiPierro and Cesar Cesaratto.  \n\nProgram Objecti
 ves\n\n\n	Advance the technology from a minimum of TRL4 to TRL6 or higher i
 n conjunction with targeted market needs and opportunities. \n	Significantl
 y increase the likelihood of achieving one or more of the following value-
 creation inflection points: creating a ɬÀï·¬ spinoff company\, licensing 
 the technology to an existing company\, obtaining additional funding for c
 ontinued development.\n	Provide an opportunity for the inventors to focus o
 n the development of their invention while acquiring business and technolo
 gy commercialization skills as part of the innovation process.\n\n
