DESCRIPTION:Join us at this virtual session to learn all about the Barbados
  Interdisciplinary Tropical Studies (BITS) program!\n\nThe BITS program is
  held at ɬÀï·¬'s Caribbean campus\, the Bellairs Research Institute\, Can
 ada's only teaching and research facility in the tropics. It is located in
  Holetown\, Barbados\, and plays host to students and scientists from arou
 nd the world for field courses.\n\nThis summer program is an activity-fill
 ed\, hands-on study experience for students with an interest in internatio
 nal studies with a Caribbean flavour. It exposes students to a wide range 
 of agri-food-energy industries and related socio-economic issues in Barbad
 os. Intensive course work is integrated with group project work and contri
 butes to the formation of professionals with planning\, managing\, decisio
 n-making\, and communication skills. The program addresses a global need f
 or experienced international professionals capable of interacting with var
 ious levels of government\, non-governmental organizations\, and the priva
 te sector.\n\nThe Summer 2024 BITS program (May 19 to Aug 4) is now open f
