We will make cornbread to accompany the chili con ca rne prepared for John Abbott Food Bank/Pantry. Its mission is provide food assistance to support John Abbott College’s students in need.\n\nThose wh o will have volunteered will also get to experience the meal\, a hearty ch ili con carne\, cornbread (of course!) and something sweet.\n\nThis entire operation has been planned\, implemented and by Dietetics students as par t of NUTR 345/346 courses.\n\nRSVP to volunteer by January 29\n\nSchedule \n\n11:00–10:15: Introduction (CC-212)\n\n11:15–12:45: Cooking dessert in the Food Lab (CC-215)\n\n12:45: Volunteer lunch is served (CC-212)\n\nAbou t MacShares\n\nMacShares is a team-building group activity in which Mac fa culty\, staff and students volunteer a couple of hours of their time to co ntribute to creating 100+ meals which are then served by local community o rganizations to people in need.
