On a manifold without boundary such estima tes follow from short time properties of the wave or semiclassical Schrödi nger propagators. However the presence of a boundary opens the possibility for multiple reflections even in short time. This will lead to greater co ncentration of the eigenfunction (displayed by higher L^p norms). It is kn own\, for example\, that the whispering gallery modes show this higher con centration. In this talk I will introduce a method of studying the boundar y L^p problem semiclassically by considering an exact solution to the boun dary problem and an approximate solution to the ambient Helmholtz equation .\n\n \n DTSTART:20170220T183000Z DTEND:20170220T193000Z LOCATION:Room 920\, Burnside Hall\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 0B9\, 805 rue Sherbrooke Ouest SUMMARY:Melissa Tacy (ANU) URL:/mathstat/channels/event/melissa-tacy-anu-266395 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
