After diagnosis\, the intensive treatment phas e for MDR-TB involves taking several alternative antibiotics concurrently. The Collaborative Group for Meta-analysis of Individual Patient Data in M DR-TB has assembled a large\, fused dataset of over 30 observational studi es comparing the effectiveness of 15 antibiotics. The particular challenge s that we have considered in the analysis of this dataset are the large nu mber of potential drug regimens\, the resistance of MDR-TB strains to spec ific antibiotics\, and the identifiability of a generalized parameter of i nterest though most drugs were not observed in all studies. In this talk\, I describe causal inference theory and methodology that we have appropria ted or developed for the estimation of treatment importance and relative e ffectiveness of different antibiotic regimens with a particular emphasis o n targeted learning approaches.\n\n \n\n \n\n \n DTSTART:20180209T203000Z DTEND:20180209T213000Z LOCATION:Room 1205\, Burnside Hall\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 0B9\, 805 rue Sherbrooke Ouest SUMMARY:Mireille Schnitzer (University of Montreal) URL:/mathstat/channels/event/mireille-schnitzer-univer sity-montreal-284557 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
