A prominent component of this project seeks to classify which knots admit surgeries to the 'simple st' non-trivial 3-manifolds--lens spaces. By combining data from Floer hom ology and the theory of integer lattices into the notion of a changemaker lattice\, Greene (2010) solved the lens space realization problem: every l ens space which may be realized as surgery on a knot in the three-sphere m ay be realized by a knot already known to surger to that lens space (i.e. a Berge knot). In this talk\, we present a survey of techniques in Dehn su rgery and their applications\, introduce a lattice theoretic construction in the spirit of Greene's changemaker lattices\, and discuss applications  to surgeries on knots in the Poincaré homology sphere. \n\nFor Zoom meetin g please contact haedrich.alexandra [at] uqam.ca\n DTSTART:20220225T160000Z DTEND:20220225T170000Z SUMMARY:Jacob Caudell (Boston College) URL:/mathstat/channels/event/jacob-caudell-boston-coll ege-337950 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
