They are often used to draw causal inferences and compare different treatments’ effectiveness. However\, these data are not experimental. They present with special features that should be addressed or that may affect the inference. One of these features is the irregular observation of the longitudinal processes used in the inference. In longitudinal studies in w hich we seek the causal effect of a treatment on a repeated outcome\, for instance\, covariate-dependent observation of the outcome has been shown t o bias standard causal estimators. In this presentation\, I will review re cent work and present some of the most interesting findings in this area o f research. Themes will include identifiability\, efficiency\, and alterna tives to weighting methods to address irregular observation times.\n\nSpea ker\n\nJanie Coulombe is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathe matics and Statistics at Université de Montréal. She completed a PhD in Bi ostatistics from ɬÀï·¬ in 2021 and won the Pierre Robillard Aw ard from the Statistical Society of Canada for her thesis in 2022. Her met hodological research focuses on the development of causal estimators with good statistical properties that address the special features of electroni c health records data\, such as irregular observation times and missing da ta.\n\nhttps://mcgill.zoom.us/j/89811237909\n\nMeeting ID: 898 1123 7909\n \nPasscode: None\n DTSTART:20240301T203000Z DTEND:20240301T213000Z LOCATION:Room 1104\, Burnside Hall\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 0B9\, 805 rue Sherbrooke Ouest SUMMARY:Janie Coulombe (Université de Montréal) URL:/mathstat/channels/event/janie-coulombe-universite -de-montreal-355704 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
